Rajasundar Chandran pursued a B.Tech degree with distinction in Polymer Engineering at Amrita University, India and further an EU funded Research Masters specializing in Materials Science from École Centrale Paris. He completed a Ph.D in Materials Science at EPFL Switzerland working on Hybrid manufacturing of thermoplastic based composite materials and was awarded the prestigious BCV Foundation prize for Science in 2015. He was a core member at EPFL developing an affordable innovative prosthetic foot for the ICRC towards commercialization. He has worked closely with leading industries and startups in the automotive, sports, textile, medical and manufacturing sectors. His area of expertise are additive and hybrid manufacturing of multi-materials. At iPrint he focuses on novel additive manufacturing using inkjet and hybrid technologies leading the research projects in this field.
